Where It All Began
LEONA was born from the ashes of the ancient fire that still remembers.
The Native Wixarika people of Mexico call the spirit of the fire Tatewari—Grandfather Fire. He is the flame that once received our prayers and offerings, where we gathered in circle to sing, to dance, to heal, and to share the stories of our ancestors.
After professionally modeling in Los Angeles, our founder Hailey Taylor felt a deep disconnection from nature, from community, and from spirit. Guided by longing, she traveled the world, sat in ceremony with Indigenous elders, and began to rekindle her relationship with self, with Earth, and with Spirit.
While living in the jungles of Mexico, the vision for LEONA came to her. She was shown a path to create tools that would help her sisters reconnect with ritual, remember life as ceremony, and honor their skin as a sacred temple.
Inspired by the fierce lioness goddesses of Ancient Egypt and the healing wisdom of Ayurvedic cold-pressed oils from India, LEONA became a tapestry of cultures and sacred traditions woven together—a bridge between worlds.
